Pete Davidson checks himself into rehab as he battles mental health issues

Pete Davidson has checked himself into rehab as he battles Borderline Personality Disorder and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, with him supported by his girlfriend.

The Saturday Night Live comedian, 29, has previously been to rehab, with him candidly talking about his mental health in the past. Pete’s girlfriend Chase Sui Wonders is reportedly supporting him through this ordeal as the comedian “focuses on himself”.

A pal of the comic has revealed that the former boyfriend of Kim Kardashian regularly checks himself into rehab for “tune ups” and “mental health breaks”.

A source close then told Page Six: “Anyone who knows Pete knows that he will always step up and get help when he knows he needs it.”

The source added: “He has a lot of people in his corner who love him and support him, and are proud of him.

“He’s taking a well deserved break so he can focus on himself and learn to better deal with his PTSD issues.”

Entertainment Tonight also reports that a source has spoken out, with them confirming that he “has been in rehab and is being treated for mental health issues”, with the comic trying to “get back on track”.

The source added that Pete “can be manic and wasn’t sleeping well or taking good care of himself, so he decided to go to get help, take a break, and get back on track. Pete is focusing on himself”.

In 2021 Pete recalled how he was diagnosed with BPD [borderline personality disorder] in his early twenties.

“I was always just so confused all the time, and just thought something was wrong and didn’t know how to deal with it,” he detailed.

Speaking in an interview, he then added: “Then, when somebody finally tells you, the weight of the world feels lifted off your shoulders. You feel so much better.”

Pete was diagnosed with BPD in 2017, which came after he battled with depression and anxiety.

He previously said that he believes that losing his father when he was only seven, to the terrorist attacks at the Twin Towers in September 2001, impacted on his mental health
