Netflix series Bridgerton Story stars coming to SA

Bridgerton story stars, Golda Rosheuvel and Arsema Thomas are coming to Cape Town, South Africa.

Rosheuvel and Thomas, who portray Queen Charlotte and young Lady Danbury respectively, are expected at the premiere event of NetflixSA’s Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story in South Africa this weekend.

The movie launch is taking place on the 16th of April.

The series, written and produced by Shonda Rhimes, is a prequel spin-off about Queen Charlotte – a fan-favourite character portrayed by accomplished Guyanese-British actor Golda Rosheuvel.

The premiere event in South Africa is part of the global celebrations ushering in the six-part series set to launch on Netflix on 4 May 2023.

Actress Millie Bobby Brown has announced she is engaged to Jake Bongiovi, her boyfriend of two-and-a-half years. Posting a picture of herself with Bongiovi, the 19-year-old Stranger Things star said: “I’ve loved you three summers now, honey, I want ’em all. An engagement ring could be seen on her finger, and Brown added a white love heart emoji to the end of her post.

Bongiovi, 20, is an actor and the son of legendary singer Jon Bon Jovi. Singer Pixie Lott was among the stars commenting on Brown’s post, writing: “Omg!!!! Congratulations you two so happy for you eeeee. Bongiovi also shared the news on his own page, simply writing “forever” alongside two photos of the couple.Learn More
