NeNe Leakes’ son arrested for possession of drugs

NeNe Leakes’ oldest son, Bryson Bryant, is currently in jail on felony drug possession charges. According to arrest records obtained by Page Six, the 33-year-old was arrested on July 3 and hit with several charges, including possession of a scheduled II controlled substance, violation of probation, loitering, and giving a false name, address, or birthdate.

Per a criminal warrant obtained by Radar Online, he was arrested at a home in Lawrenceville, Ga. after allegedly “evading police and claiming he knew the people that lived at the residence which was false.”

During his arrest, Bryant reportedly lied to cops and gave them his younger brother Brentt Leakes’ name. He also allegedly gave cops the address of a residence the “Real Housewives of Atlanta” alum, 55, had sold years ago.

Bryant was booked into the Gwinnett County Jail after midnight and his bond was set at $3,700, per the jail records.

Following the run-in, he was also charged with violating probation in another case. Bryant has had his fair share of run-ins with the law since his mom became a household name through the hit Bravo reality show.

in 2011, he was arrested for a DUI after failing to stay in his lane while driving. The following year, Bryant was detained for driving while his license was suspended.

In 2015, he was also arrested after giving officers a false name during a raid at McDonald’s in Georgia.

At the time, Bryson — who Leakes shares with ex-Calvin Bryant — was among a group of suspects who were allegedly planning to print counterfeit checks at a local fast-food restaurant.

Despite remaining out of the limelight, some of Bryson’s legal troubles were previously documented on “RHOA.” During Season 5, aired in 2012, the reality star’s son was arrested for allegedly stealing razors from a local Walmart and wanted her to bail him out.

Since it wasn’t the first time he had been incarcerated, NeNe decided to let him stay behind bars and think about his choices.

“He’s had a really easy life, so now I’m gonna show him what a hard life is,” the Bravolebrity said at the time. “He’s gonna stay in jail, I’m not getting him out, and he can figure it out from behind bars.”

Bryson has a hearing scheduled for Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. local time.
