Elon Musk reportedly welcomed his 11th child

Elon Musk has reportedly welcomed his 11th child into the world – and handed him an unusual name. The world’s richest man shares his youngest son with musician Grimes, but the pair decided to keep the happy news out of the public eye. The claim has been made in a new biography about the businessman, who now owns X, the social media site previously known as Twitter.

The book will hit the shelves next week with extracts appearing on the New York Times. Very little is known about the latest arrival and the businessman hasn’t revealed how old they are. However he did share the name, Techno Mechanicus, but says the family have nicknamed him Tau. He now has 11 children with three different women. Little Tau is Musk’s third child with Grimes, whose real name is Claire Boucher.

The couple named their first child, born in May 2020, X Æ A-12 but they had to change it to X Æ A-Xii. The following year they welcomed Exa Darl, who they call Y. The couple split up in 2021 but said they wanted to continue having children together, with Grimes telling Vanity Fair they “wanted at least three or four”.

Speaking about their split on social media at the time, she wrote: “Me and E have broken up *again* since the writing of this article haha, but he’s my best friend and the love of my life, and my life and art are forever dedicated to The Mission now.”

Musk shares six children with his ex-wife Justine Wilson, however they were hit by tragic when their firstborn Nevada passed away at just 10 weeks old from Sudden Infant Death Syndrome.

In November 2021, Musk welcomed twines with Shivon Zilis, however their names have only been revealed as Azure and Strider this week.

Elsewhere in the book, biographer Walter Isaacson claims Musk disabled Starlink satellite communication in order to sabotage a strike by a Ukrainian drone on Russian-occupied territory. Isaacson claims the businessman was concerned the attack on the Russian naval fleet would have led to a serious escalation up to and including nuclear war. Musk is said to have panicked when he learned his Starlink satellites were going to be used to guide drones towards an attack in Crimea, annexed by Russia in 2014, because he was told by the Russian ambassador the the United States that an attack on the region would lead to a nuclear escalation. He then ordered the satellites to be turned off “within 100 kilometers of the Crimean coast.”
