Manchester United begin their Premier League campaign later this week.
The Red Devils kick off the new season at home to Fulham on Friday, little under a week after they lost the Community Shield to Manchester City at Wembley.
Erik ten Hag is under pressure to improve on last season. Despite winning the FA Cup, United finished eighth for the first time in their Premier League history and the Dutchman’s future was frequently the subject of debate.
Ten Hag’s task this time around will no doubt be helped if his squad avoid injuries. Though part and parcel of the game, United were frequently dealing with an absentee crisis last season.
Quite how much of a difference they made is up for debate but there is little doubt that having his best players available more often will help the United boss this time around.
With that in mind, here’s a look at the latest Manchester United injuries.
Luke Shaw
Luke Shaw has not played for United since February but did make his comeback during England’s run to the Euro 2024 final.
The left-back will miss the start of the season, the club have confirmed.
