Nicki Minaj’s husband on house arrest after death threats to Cardi B’s husband

Nicki Minaj’s husband Kenneth Petty has been placed under house arrest for sending threatening messages to rapper Offset.

Petty was sentenced to 120 days of house arrest after he violated the terms of his probation after he “was recorded on video making threatening remarks to a specific individual while in the company of someone with a criminal record,” according to a court order filed in the Central District of California and obtained by The Hollywood Reporter. Kenneth and his friends were seen outside of a New York City hotel in the clip that went viral on social media.

Petty can reportedly be heard shouting: “Plan that vacation, you gonna be planning your funeral p***y!” The video violates the terms of his three-year probation set in July 2022 after he pleaded guilty to failing to register as a sex offender in California in 2020.

He was convicted for the first-degree attempted rape of a 16-year-old girl in 1995. He spent four years in prison in New York.

Offset – real name Kiari Kendrell Cephus – has since replied to the video posted by Petty, brushing off his remarks and remaining seemingly unbothered by the situation. He said: “I’m getting off a jet. He’s funny.”

The rapper was formerly part of rap group, Migos alongside his friends, Quavo and Takeoff. Takeoff – real name Kirsnick Khari Ball- sadly passed away in November 2022 shortly after the band split. Offset is married to Cardi B, having tied the knot in 2017, and shares two children with the rapper: a daughter, Kulture, and a son, Wave Set Cephus.

Meanwhile, Petty married Grammy-winning rapper Nicki Minaj in 2019 after meeting as childhood sweethearts. The couple welcomed their son in September 2020.

Outside of their husband’s recent disagreement, Nicki and Cardi have been publicly embroiled in a long-running feud and were caught in a brawl at New York Fashion Week back in 2018. According to TMZ, Cardi had approached Nicki’s table to “address the lies she was spreading”.

Sources connected to Cardi told the website they believe her security had a plan if she came anywhere near Nicki, and one of them elbowed her in the face. A second video shows Cardi, 25, taking off one of her red shoes before hurling it at Nicki.

Pictures taken after the bust-up show the new mum with a huge golfball-sized bump just above her eye and a rip at the back of her floor-length red gown. With both shoes off, Cardi was then escorted out of the building by security.
