Beyoncé marked the launch of haircare brand Cécred with a major celebration — and a hair change, too! Mrs. Knowles-Carter, 42, made an entrance to her event — an intimate party at the Revery in Los Angeles — in a Prabal Gurung look topped off with honey-hued hair.
Her hair color is a deeper, warmer blonde than the platinum hue her colorist Rita Hazan dubbed “frosted” and which she had as recently as Feb. 15 when she stepped out to BFF Kelly Rowand’s Netflix movie premiere in New York City.
Hazan has yet to name this color, but it’s reminiscent of the “Crème Brûlée Blonde” Hazan called the multi-dimensional shade she gave the Queen over the summer while she traversed the U.S. on her Renaissance World Tour.
As for her fit, it consisted of an open white cotton silk kurta blouse over a hand-pleated plisse sculpted sari bodysuit and dhoti pants from the designer’s spring-summer 2024 collection. She paired it with De Beers jewelry, including its Metamorphosis by De Beers ‘Prelude Necklace and Brooch, Light Fall Diamond Earrings and Cipher Diamond Ring. (Not pictured: Bey’s DEZI Eyewear in Tóxica Silver.) Guring took to Instagram to remark on the “special” moment.
“The spring 2024 collection was a heartfelt one because it explored the ideas of the West meeting the East, a jugalbandi or mashup of ideas, cultures, shapes, silhouettes, the magical place of dichotomies that I personally love to exist and on which I thrive,” Gurung shared.
The designer continued, “These pants … though unnerving and uncomfortable for many at first in the west due to their unfamiliar silhouettes, eventually became the symbol of that very nexus I was trying to achieve—the meeting points of different worlds, cultures, continents, ideas etc to create a magical moment. And for me, personally, this is it.
